A few cartoonists reminder side notes:

I appreciate you  kind folks for swinging in The St. Louis Childrens Illustrated Art Museum and browsing through The Comic Gallery, This is where some of my illustrations and cartoons are on exhibit. I have also worked out an agreement with the Museum for you to be able to purchase some exclusive autographed prints. If you are close in the Museums area you might want to go grab your own original autographed merchandise from the studio. The Museum also carries copies of published Editorial Compilations that feature my cartoons available for purchase, as well as some original artwork directly from the studio featuring Welcome To The Jungle© comic strip art on exhibit along with other fine illustrators and cartoonists artwork!

The coolest thing about this Museum while looking at my original artwork there are the actual published copies of newspapers and books that feature the exhibited cartoons for patrons to actually hold and look through. Serious, Great weekend activity for the family.

ST. LOUIS CHILDREN’S ILLUSTRATED ART MUSEUM NEWS

THIS WEEKEND APRIL 25TH!

“A is for Anaconda”

A rainforest experience featuring the magnificent art of Laura Regan

Walk through our exhibit and discover the rainforest through the art of Laura Regan. Each page of her award winning book, “A is for Anaconda” is enlarged and exhibited in an unforgettable display. You will meet the many endangered plant and animal species, understand the progression of a food web, and appreciate why the rainforest has been called the “world’s medicine chest’.

Laura will be visiting the Museum on April 25th between noon and 2:30. Come meet Laura and view her original paintings for the book “A is for Anaconda”. Her new book “Pierre the Penguin” has just been released and will also be available for purchase.
Laura Regan was born in Canada and raised in the San Francisco bay area and is nationally known for her rich, contemporary style of paintings. Laura studied art at the College of San Mateo and Graphic Design at the Maryland Institute, College of Art in Baltimore.

Returning to the original FIDDLESTIX comics from the 1980’s. All cleaned up and presented in an updated format. The original strips were presented in a 3-Panel horizontal format, and all were in B/W. Pinhead cartoon strips alternated with Grizzle and Irving cartoon strips, the two original main characters created for FIDDLESTIX. The Pinhead character rarely shows up in the printed form. Only because, unbeknownst to me at the time I created Pinhead, a similar character, was already in use by another well known cartoonist. Curses! Foiled Again! Ha,ha,ha. Don’t forget cartoon fans there are tons of cartoon links over there>>>>>>>

A new week brings new job opportunities. Got a laugh when I heard Conan say he interviewed a squirrel in his backyard. That’s some funny stuff. I’m sure he’s not struggling with bills yet. Do you think he’s had to make cutbacks on living expenses though? Ha,ha,ha.

Want to find out a little bit more about me or my cartoons? Go check out one of the latest interviews over at David Paccia’s Wasting Paper. Thanks for supporting cartoonists David! Had a great time taking a break from the drawing boards to answer the questions.  See everybody on Thursday! This weekend more Sunday Funnies featuring Welcome To The Jungle!

The St. Louis Children’s Illustrated Art Museum has acquired my artwork and is on display. My work is a mere drop in the bucket of the amazing illustrators that are featured in the galleries. Here’s a few photos of some of the illustrators artwork you can see inside the Museum.

The above are examples of the incredible art on display. (The Goosebumps Exhibit is currently being assembled, and I will pass the information on as soon as it is opened) Those interested directly in viewing my artwork. You can find it hanging alongside Guy Gilchrist, and Phil Foglio in the Comic Gallery. I tried to get the best photos possible. The actual artwork on display is so much more vivid and amazing in person. I urge any patron of the arts to visit the Museum. Here’s a link to find out all you need to know. As mentioned above there are tons of artists represented and this is an extremely small portion of exhibited works.

We’re coming close to some cool breaking news from the studio! ( News Clues, what do these have in common? Guy Gilchrist, Goosebumps, and PC Studios) Stay Tooned In! Don’t forget to check out the new media outlet running the cartoons, Imagine Magazine. Tons of excellent illustrators/cartoonists/animators information and interviews.

Get Ready to mark your calendars cartoon fans. So you can bid on original cartoon art, and doodles from celebrities around the globe. Seriously cool! Thursday, May 13, 2010.

As part of NF Awareness month, celebrity doodles are available for auction on eBay during May. These doodles have a very important aim: the funds they raise will benefit NF, Inc., an organization dedicated to providing support to individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis (NF).

Neurofibromatosis is a genetic disorder that affects one in every 2,500 births. NF is more common than Cystic Fibrosis, Muscular Dystrophy and Huntington’s Disease combined. Funds raised from the Doodle Day auction will go to support education, advocacy, coalitions, and research for treatments and a cure.

Through National Doodle Day  celebrities continue to raise money in order to provide advice, information and support services to people with epilepsy or with neurofibromatosis and to raise awareness of these conditions so that people affected no longer face the discrimination and stigma that can affect their every day lives. So get ready to bid on some original artwork for a fantastic cause. Here’s what I scribbled out on my cards for NF.
