The big question lately is am I still creating the editorial one-shots? Yes, cartoon fans I haven’t been posting those here lately so we could settle in on the crew at Bronze’s Gym. I’m sure the Publishers / Editors are digging the first rights. Thought we would throw a few out there this week. That’s right a little more BP Bashing (Bad Parody Bashing) Ha,ha,ha!

Here’s a look at more work from another fellow illustrator / cartoonist friend. I’m sure everybody knows Mr. Guy Gilchrist. Here are some real cool originals for your occular entertainment. The Today’s Dogg™ by Guy Gilchrist banner will take you to Guy’s new cartoon feature. ATTENTION CARTOON FANS! Guy is running a “Caption Contest” Right Now! Win original art!

Here’s a very cool original Nancy strip. (Sorry about the quality of the photo of the strip below. It’s in a framed setting, awesome inkwork as you are holding it right in front of you though)

You can check out original Guy Gilchrist artwork / illustrations at The St. Louis Children’s Illustrated Art Museum. There is some awesome Muppets comicwork and Nancy & Sluggo material in The Comic Gallery. The Museum also carries copies of published material from the drawing boards right here. They also have available Autographed Limited Edition Prints, I had a great time creating the Limited Print’s artwork. Woo Hoo!

Thought I would also pass on a small sampling of random links from publications where you can always find the recent editorial cartoon crazies and various other funnies fresh off the drawing boards.

I’ll see about posting other news sources where you can find out about various in print material. These fine folks usually give a shout out with the major news items.

We hope you will bookmark TOONED IN and return often and interact with the creator. Please pass the link on to somebody that will appreciate grabbing a daily laugh.

Support cartoonists everywhere, contact your local newsprint “Features Editor” and urge more cartoons to appear on the printed pages. Cartoonists across the globe appreciate your support! Plus a shout out to editors back to my cartoons surely wouldn’t hurt my feelings.

A few cartoonists reminder side notes:

I appreciate you  kind folks for swinging in The St. Louis Childrens Illustrated Art Museum and browsing through The Comic Gallery, This is where some of my illustrations and cartoons are on exhibit. I have also worked out an agreement with the Museum for you to be able to purchase some exclusive autographed prints. If you are close in the Museums area you might want to go grab your own original autographed merchandise from the studio. The Museum also carries copies of published Editorial Compilations that feature my cartoons available for purchase, as well as some original artwork directly from the studio featuring Welcome To The Jungle© comic strip art on exhibit along with other fine illustrators and cartoonists artwork!

The coolest thing about this Museum while looking at my original artwork there are the actual published copies of newspapers and books that feature the exhibited cartoons for patrons to actually hold and look through. Serious, Great weekend activity for the family.

Very soon the final finished concept for the new feature Welcome To The Jungle goes live! You cartoon fans have seen quite a bit of the new feature spattered amongst the original Jungle strips as the last few remaining strips are coming to a close. The feature is very unlike the strips you have seen though. FEED THE FRENZY!  What’s in store for those interested?  An ongoing main cast of characters, Check. (Did you see it?) I can, it’s there. A quick rundown to start. Readers have already met at least 4 previous characters, Check. WHAT? Yes you have seen at least four of the main characters in the initial concept strips. All new layout, Check. You have also seen the layout format before, hmmm I wonder where? (I hope your readers enjoyed the Epic Pinkerton Adventure “Hold That Zombie” Wit, thanks for the exposure friend) Hopefully you will find the new feature amusing and spread the good word about the funnies. Amazing Crossover Events, Maybe let’s see the finished product first.

Witness the specatcle of Life in the not so Fast Lane.

Here’s a look at the way the the comic strips are ending format wise, the new finished concept is near cartoon fans. While developing the strip in 2007 right from the word go an Immediate name change due to a syndication problem. But while producing and developing the initial strips a final finished concept emerged and was also being produced alongside, borrowing and incorporating features from the original strips. I’m so anticipating letting you readers of the funnies see the new strip. When would you like to see it Roll Out? See you next week, Tuesday.

Returning to the original FIDDLESTIX comics from the 1980’s. All cleaned up and presented in an updated format. The original strips were presented in a 3-Panel horizontal format, and all were in B/W. Pinhead cartoon strips alternated with Grizzle and Irving cartoon strips, the two original main characters created for FIDDLESTIX. The Pinhead character rarely shows up in the printed form. Only because, unbeknownst to me at the time I created Pinhead, a similar character, was already in use by another well known cartoonist. Curses! Foiled Again! Ha,ha,ha. Don’t forget cartoon fans there are tons of cartoon links over there>>>>>>>

A new week brings new job opportunities. Got a laugh when I heard Conan say he interviewed a squirrel in his backyard. That’s some funny stuff. I’m sure he’s not struggling with bills yet. Do you think he’s had to make cutbacks on living expenses though? Ha,ha,ha.

Want to find out a little bit more about me or my cartoons? Go check out one of the latest interviews over at David Paccia’s Wasting Paper. Thanks for supporting cartoonists David! Had a great time taking a break from the drawing boards to answer the questions.  See everybody on Thursday! This weekend more Sunday Funnies featuring Welcome To The Jungle!

The St. Louis Children’s Illustrated Art Museum has acquired my artwork and is on display. My work is a mere drop in the bucket of the amazing illustrators that are featured in the galleries. Here’s a few photos of some of the illustrators artwork you can see inside the Museum.

The above are examples of the incredible art on display. (The Goosebumps Exhibit is currently being assembled, and I will pass the information on as soon as it is opened) Those interested directly in viewing my artwork. You can find it hanging alongside Guy Gilchrist, and Phil Foglio in the Comic Gallery. I tried to get the best photos possible. The actual artwork on display is so much more vivid and amazing in person. I urge any patron of the arts to visit the Museum. Here’s a link to find out all you need to know. As mentioned above there are tons of artists represented and this is an extremely small portion of exhibited works.
